What better way to gather your friends and family this fall than to get together over tasty treats and football?! And if you’re able to host your get-together outside, you can still have fun while staying social distanced.

The Holly Green Modern project was one of our favorites this year! We adore the way that both the design elements and the floorplan versatility came together in this chic, family-friendly home in the heart of Houston. We came alongside this family as they were transitioning from a small, cozy bungalow to a larger, modern-style home, and they really wanted to carry the home’s architectural theme throughout the interior design, from furniture and fabrics to art and accessories.

One of my favorite aspects of fall is gathering together with friends and family. As the temperatures cool down and the days grow shorter, a cozy dinner party with my favorite people is at the top of my mind.

We’ve all felt it—the desire for bookshelves that warm up the room with meaningful items (finally, a place for family photos, favorite books, and travel mementos!) and well-proportioned design. And yet, getting started is the hardest part.

I love when certain areas in my home signify special moments or activities for myself or my family—and my prayer space is at the top of my list.

One year after moving into their dream home and trying to furnish everything on their own, the homeowners of our Walker’s Way project in Magnolia, Texas, were overwhelmed and frustrated from constant shopping and tired of decision making. After months of scouring stores and online shops while also juggling the other responsibilities in their life, they still didn’t feel like any of their spaces were complete.

There are a lot of misconceptions about interior designers out there and we’re debunking one myth for you by talking about what it looks like to furnish your home with a designer or by doing it yourself.
